Creative Writing Volunteer

Numberfit is looking for Creative Writers to create engaging dialogue-focused copy and content in a very millennial tone of voice.

Numberfit is a social enterprise that works to make Maths learning fun and engaging for children across all age groups.

After the launch of our new website and product offering we’re looking to start building new content and your contribution as a creative writer is going to be crucial to our organisation’s development.

Your responsibilities will be: Creative writing and script writing. Understand our products and offerings and produce relevant content for the website and other external forums including social platforms. Ensuring the logical flow of all writing produced. Writing blogs/posts about relevant topics - children education, mathematics, active learning and mindfulness to promote the message of Numberfit. Drafting informational content for internal and external use. Updating and maintaining Web content. Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and opinions. You will be reporting directly to our founder, head of Content, and working alongside a small team.

You will be involved in creating content that will directly and positively impact children’s education. Your input will shape our tone of voice and how we present ourselves to schools, parents and the general public. With your help we’ll be able to continue raising the profile of mathematics, enjoyable learning and children's wellbeing.

Skills

We’re looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The volunteer should also have/be: an interest in writing for children. a passion for education/maths-related topics and believe in the academic and physical development of children. a proven experience in writing scripts for videos, web and social media content, adverts, etc. impeccable skills in character development and crafting individual tone of voice. an understanding of current social media and mobile apps culture (their communicational codes, tools and cultural references.)
