The Why Don't We group meet every Thursday morning at Cottingley Comminuty centre. We're looking for one or two volunteers to support the group members, who each have autism and/or a learning disability. The group is led by two professional artists and take part in creative activities, particularly photography.
Skills
You don't need any particular knowledge or expertise, just a general enthusiasm for creativity and working collaboratively.

Duties: • To contribute to projects by taking part in activities / sharing ideas • Encouraging members of the group to engage in activities at hand • Offering support to members if and when requested • Assist in setting-up before a session and tidying / cleaning afterwards • Co-working within the group • To work in accordance with Pyramid of Arts’ Policies and Procedures • To attend training sessions as required (our Foundation course is compulsory) • Contribute to member reviews and debrief at the end of every session • Attend a Core Worker, Artist and Volunteer (CAV) meeting each term (optional) Person specification: • Cheerful and friendly disposition • Punctual and reliable • Willingness to work flexibly • Commitment to and enthusiasm for the arts • Willingness to undertake training where required • Works across boundaries, looks for collective success; listens, involves, respects and learns from the contribution of others
