Literacy and Numeracy Mentor

Working under the direction of the Service Manager, to help to develop client’s Literacy and Numeracy skills by: 1. Delivering a literacy programme such as Toe by Toe, or another programme that is suitable for each client’s need. 2. To research, develop and deliver suitable numeracy programmes according to the need of the client. 3. To encourage and support the client. 4. To report client engagement and outcomes to the Project Manager or staff team.


1. Motivated to help others and disadvantaged groups. 2. Demonstrable administration experience 3. Good interpersonal skills. 4. Team player 5. Flexible attitude to rapid changes in tasks 6. Non- judgemental – relates well to people of any background. 7. Friendly and enthusiastic. 8. Great communication skills – able to communicate with groups of differing in age in a caring and respectful manner.
