To transport older people in a minibus to and from a Day care centre at St Christopher's church in Holme wood Bradford. This would involve picking people up from the Holme Wood and Bierley areas in a morning and then taking them home in the middle of the afternoon. The Good Neighbour project is a voluntary organisation that runs activities designed to meet the needs of local people. One of the activities we run is a Day Care Centre for older people where they can come meet friends, have a hot nourishing meal and take part in lots of activities designed to enhance their health and well-being. Our minibus plays a key part in this as we have a lot of disabled clients who need transport to attend our centre.
You must be able to drive and preferably have experience of driving a minibus. If you passed your driving test after 1st January 1997 then you must hold a separate minibus licence. You must also be physically fit and able to operate wheelchairs and a minibus tail lift. A caring attitude towards older people is also required.
