1 Adhere to the ethos and constitution of the Anchor Project
2. Be sympathetic to the Christian Faith, although don’t need to be a Christian themselves.
3. Expected to turn up on time, to help setup, and subsequently help clear up and close up.
4. Let the Tutor know with as much notice as possible when they are unable to attend.
5. Let the Tutor know if there is any change in their circumstances (within reason).
6. Be polite and treat all service users with respect.
7. Maintain confidentially at all time.
8. Report any issues (serious or not serious) directly to the Tutor.
9. Maintain to good volunteer/service user boundaries so neither will be put at risk.
10. Adhere the Anchor Project Safeguarding policy
11. Support the Tutor and his leading during each session, then if required feedback any issues after the session and not in front or service users
12. Attend occasional short team meetings.
13. Engage in good conversation with service users, and not do all the talking themselves!
Skills
14. Be light hearted and of good cheer – please have some fun!!!
15. And to have a wholehearted desire to support and serve the client group and their families.
Thursdays 1-2:30pm: Spoken English Club at St Clements Church BD3 with English speaking volunteers.
Please note this will be a mixed class, and parents with children under 5 years old are welcome. Refreshments available.
Fridays 10:15-11.45am (ladies only) English My Way: focusing on Speaking/Listening/Reading/Writing, where we will be starting at a 'very basic level' and slowly building this up each week.
