We are looking for Volunteer Support Assistant’s who will be specifically chosen for their skills and whose role it will be to work with adults with a variety of additional needs (including mental health issues, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, neuro-diversity, learning disabilities asylum seekers / refugees), to enable them to volunteer in the opportunity of their choice.
Volunteer Support Assistant's will support people with additional needs or asylum seekers to (the level of support provided will be dependent on each individuals needs. this WILL NOT include personal care):
- Find out about local volunteering projects
- Contact projects they’re interested in, fill in forms and arrange visits
- Visit a project by planning their journey or by going with them
- Support volunteers in their volunteering role, to enable them to undertake the role independently.
- Sort out any problems or questions
- Mentor and guide, promoting independence
- Attend regular volunteer meetings and supervision
- Attend training to develop skills
- References provided after 3 month commitment
- Free accredited training provided

Over 18 years only - DBS check required

Availability Details
Volunteers should be willing to commit to a minimum of 3 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months.
