Abbeyfield The Dales Ltd is a nationwide registered charity which provides a range of housing requirements with care for people over the age of 55 years, whether it be simply loneliness, frailty or a particular care need, it's facilities are open to all, regardless of income. The Ilkley Society has been established for more than 40 years.

Abbeyfield Societies have been formed in local communities throughout the country, offering a range of accommodation including Abbeyfield Independent Living (with Personal Care) often referred to as Extra Care Housing, Abbeyfield Supported Living and Abbeyfield Residential Care, as well as a Day Centre operating on site in Ilkley 5 days a week. Some, or all, of these facilities are offered at Ilkley, Menston, Skipton and Halifax.
