Opportunities with Bradford Community Alliance

About

Bradford Community Alliance runs a project called the Rahat Project and Cepheus Cancer Buddying Service.
The Rahat project is a service which is run in the community of BD5 for women and girls experiencing mental health issues. The service is appropriate for South Asian women as it is culturally sensitive. The service is focused on supporting South Asain women who are experiencing mental ill health. The service provides a range of activities focused on wellbeing including cooking, coffee mornings, exercise classes, visits to green spaces and arts and crafts. The project aims to support the mental wellbeing and resilience of women and girls whilst helping to reduce isolation within the community.
The Cepheus Cancer Buddying Service is a telephone befriending service where we provide emotional support for people who have lived through cancer/are living through cancer. This is for cancer patients within the South Asian Community/Ethnic minority community.
