Appropriate Adult Volunteer

Make a real difference when someone needs support most.

We’re looking for calm, reliable and compassionate volunteers to support vulnerable people during police interviews and procedures.

Full training is provided - just bring empathy, confidence and a commitment to fairness.

Volunteer today and be the person who makes sure every voice is heard.

-------------------------------------------------------

If you wish to apply for the role, you will need to be able to answer 'yes' to the questions below:

1. Have you been resident in the UK for the last three years or more?

2. Can you travel to your nearest Custody Suite (Bradford, Halifax, Dewsbury, Leeds or Wakefield) within an hour?

3. Can you drive and do you have access to a vehicle? If not, do you have access to a reliable public transport (PT) system?

4. Are you able to commit to volunteering for a minimum of four hours per week? (The maximum shift time is 4.5 hours)? -------------------------------------------------------

Whilst you do not need any specific qualifications, we are looking to recruit volunteers who are passionate about helping people and can commit to booking one shift per week with the Service (booking a shift does not mean you will be required to go to Custody as there may be no vulnerable adults to support during the time of your shift booking).
