Support Worker for South Asian men's group

Bradford Community Alliance CIC is an established support group for Men from South Asian communities who are experiencing mental ill health. The organisation provides a range of activities which focus on wellbeing. These include cooking, coffee mornings, exercise classes, visits to green spaces and arts and crafts. The project aims to support the mental wellbeing and resilience of men whilst helping to reduce isolation within the community. This opportunity involves providing emotional support to men once or twice a week. It allows volunteers to build on their skills whilst working with people experiencing mental health difficulties. It also includes gaining professional experience as well as building on one's management and leadership skills as volunteer have a caseload under the supervision on the manager. It includes working from the office as well as from home and other venues in the community.
