We provide education support service for children aged 5-16 whose first language isn't English. We run education support sessions every Saturday from 1pm -3pm providing intensive support around core subjects including mathematics and english. We are currently looking for volunteer teachers / teaching assistants to support this learning environment. The sessions run from the Quaker Meeting House in BD5. We are walking distance from the town centre.
Skills
If you have previous experience of working with children and young people in an educational environment this would be useful but is not essential. Patience and empathy are essential. As well as the ability to communicate effectively with children.
