Sue Ryder is looking for organised and enthusiastic volunteers who can help us run a friendly and efficient reception team.
As part of the reception team you’ll be involved in tasks that will vary according to need, and may include:• ensuring all visitors are processed according to procedure• receiving all incoming telephone calls and transfer or take messages as appropriate• dealing with incoming post and deliveries• general clerical duties• occasional cash handling• responding efficiently to enquiries to the service from patients, carers and professionals.
Skills
You will have:
• excellent communication skills whether face to face, on the phone or via email
• to be diplomatic, discreet and sensitive and maintain confidentiality appropriately
• an organised and systematic approach
• good customer service skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
• a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• to take responsibility for ensuring own mandatory training is fully up to date.
