Service Description

Our Wellbeing Team supports adults aged 18+ across Bradford District and Craven through a range of group sessions and activities. From creative activities to structured support programmes, we support people to take care of their emotional and mental wellbeing.

Role Description

We’re looking for committed, proactive and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. As a Wellbeing Volunteer, you will support in facilitating our friendly and informative Wellbeing Sessions.

We currently have Wellbeing Volunteer vacancies in:

· Board Game Group (Thursdays, 2pm – 4.45pm, BDC Mind)

Person Specification

Ability

  • The ability to offer a warm welcome and build a positive and friendly rapport with people from different backgrounds
  • Ability to support a group environment and manage group dynamics, alongside other staff and volunteers
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening skills
  • Ability to uphold professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to support people with different needs, including people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI)
  • Confident in completing basic administrative tasks, such as sending emails and using Microsoft Word

  • Approachable, empathetic and non-judgmental
