Shipley Glen Tramway was opened in 1895 and is run and maintained entirely by volunteers. The tramway is a 350m twin track cable hauled tramway with a museum and information centre at the bottom station close to Roberts Park in Saltaire. The top station has an old fashioned sweet shop and is a few minutes walk from Shipley Glen.
In 2019 the tramway had 27,119 passengers opening weekend afternoons. It also opens midweek for school and group visits by special request.
