Events Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a willing & enthusiastic volunteer to help with a vital role within the rescue who can offer around two hours a week to the coordination of our fundraising events.  The role is busiest in Spring & Summer  when most of the local galas and shows take place. You would be required, in liaison with the committee to:

Research what local shows and galas are taking place & which may have a good footfall of target audience

Complete booking forms in line with the organiser's requirements

Complete risks assessments as required

Consider what sort of  stall we should run at each event e.g. cake stall, tombola, dog items & coordinate the supply of these with the help of the committee

Work with our existing volunteer team to ensure there are volunteers assigned to each event and they have information & details they need

Keep a log of items sold & evaluate which events were successful & should be repeated in future years

Use social media to promote events in advance

Help attract donations for raffles & tombola's

Provide a monthly report to the trustees about events

In return  you will be part of a great team making a genuine difference to the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs in the local area.  You will receive full support & training and develop a wide range of skills to enhance your CV

Organised, confident with social media, reliable, motivated, flexible, good team player, have access to own transport, able to talk to people from diverse backgrounds, friendly & approachable & be able to travel to and attend events within the community
