Do you want to make a difference in your community and support young girls to grow in confidence and wellbeing?
We run 6-week group programmes in schools across Bradford for girls aged 9–14, as part of the Y’s Girls mentoring project. You’ll help deliver sessions that focus on themes like confidence, belonging, and resilience, creating a space where girls can build trust, express themselves, and strengthen their sense of self.
You’ll be supporting the group by helping to run activities, encouraging participation, and making sure the space feels safe, engaging, and positive.
Full training will be given, and a DBS check will be required (no cost involved).
Volunteers will co-deliver the 6-week programme alongside our Y's Girls Project Coordinator, helping to lead creative and reflective activities that encourage teamwork, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. You’ll play an important role in helping each girl recognise her strengths, celebrate who she is, and build positive relationships.
You’ll receive full training, supervision, and support throughout your time with us. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience working with young people in a school setting while developing your own leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
Groups meet once per week for up to 2 hours within the school day.
