Volunteering – Horton Community Farm

Share your knowledge, experience and energy and help preserve this fantastic urban green space for generations to come. Grow local food and help maintain the communities’ connection with nature & wildlife.

Certificates are available to confirm your time with us after at least 6 sessions.

Skills

Gain experience of organic growing and site maintenance. Tasks include planting, harvesting, watering, digging, weeding, cutting back, mowing and hedge trimming. We also need help with publicity, supporting others to volunteer, fund-raising, machinery maintenance, site design, forest gardening & permaculture.

  • Age restrictions
    Over 16's can attend alone. Over 12's welcome with a guardian.
  • DBS check required
    Attending volunteer sessions does not require a DBS. There may be opportunities to volunteer on sessions provided to groups in which case a DBS may be required.
