Stock Sorter

Role Summary

The role of Stock Sorter is a backroom task which involves sorting customer donations, pricing and tagging items ready for sale.

Main Duties Include

• Sorting donations and checking items for cleanliness • Processing saleable stock and dealing with substandard donations in the appropriate manner • Checking shop floor stock and sourcing items to fill gaps • Steam clothing to make them more desirable • Tidying donation room

Skills

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of fashion trends and prices (or a willingness to learn) • Must be able to work as part of a team • Warm and friendly person with helpful attitude towards helping people • Trustworthy and capable of being able to work unsupervised at times • Awareness of safety and workplace hazards • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and an understanding of the voluntary sector desirable but not essential
